About Nina Kim & Cornerstone Nest
Welcome to Cornerstone Nest, where I share insights on early childhood education, family life in Canada, and the journey to growth and learning. I’m Nina Kim, the heart behind this space. With seven years of experience as an educator, my goal is to provide guidance, inspiration, and real stories to both parents and educators.
My Academic Background & Credentials
I studied English Linguistics, Geography, and Child Study, which has given me a deep understanding of language development, social environments, and children’s growth. Later, I completed the EA Diploma course at Burnaby Community & Continuing Education in British Columbia.
In addition, I am certified in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Infant-Toddler (IT), and Special Needs Education (SNE). These credentials reflect my commitment to inclusive, high-quality early learning practices.
Professional Experience: 7 Years in Early Learning
Over the past seven years, I have worked in various early childhood settings—supporting children, collaborating with families, and designing curriculum that meets diverse needs. My classroom experience includes planning play-based lessons, behavior guidance, and supporting children with individual differences.
Through my day-to-day work, I’ve seen how educational practices and family support intersect. That’s what inspired me to start Cornerstone Nest—to bridge theory and real-life application, grounded in warm storytelling and professional insight.
